Role Overview:
The Irrigation Automation Engineer will design, implement, and optimize smart irrigation systems that integrate agricultural IoT devices, soil moisture sensors, and drone-collected indicators. This role requires a blend of hardware engineering, agricultural science, and automation logic to support water-efficient farming at scale.


Key Responsibilities:
• Design IoT-enabled irrigation systems tailored for crop-specific water needs.
• Integrate data from drones, soil sensors, and weather APIs to automate water delivery.
• Develop control logic and automation workflows for irrigation operations.
• Conduct field tests to evaluate irrigation efficiency and system responsiveness.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate irrigation data into dashboards.
• Troubleshoot hardware components including pumps, valves, controllers, and sensors.
• Provide training and deployment support to farm partners and technicians.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechatronics, IoT Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in irrigation systems, automation, or agri-engineering.
• Strong understanding of soil-water relationships and crop water requirements.
• Experience with IoT controllers, PLCs, and sensor-based automation.
• Ability to perform on-site field testing and system calibration.
• Excellent analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.
