Position
Superintendent (Defence Projects)
Role Overview
The Superintendent supports defence-related construction projects by overseeing pre-construction, construction, and post-construction activities while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget compliance across multiple project sites.
Security Requirement
Must obtain and maintain Secret-level security clearance
Previous experience on defence-related projects is required
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain master project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6
Develop Health, Safety, and Environment plans
Plan, organize, and control daily construction operations
Lead and supervise junior site staff
Prepare 2- and 6-week resource-loaded schedules
Monitor productivity, logistics, materials, and site progress
Maintain reporting, documentation, and site organization
Experience
Minimum 5+ years of construction industry experience managing multiple project sites
Defence construction experience required (Defence Construction Canada)
Education
Undergraduate degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or a related field
Skills
Construction project management, defence construction, contract administration, scheduling and budgeting, MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore, SAP, leadership and team management, subcontractor coordination, health and safety management, quality control, risk management, communication and stakeholder management
