Role Overview:

The News Reporter will research, write, and produce news stories for broadcast and online, covering a wide range of community topics while representing Vista Radio in Yellowknife.

Key Responsibilities:

Research, write, and produce news stories for broadcast and online platforms.

Cover a broad range of topics including crime, politics, environment, and social issues.

Attend community events, city council, and school board meetings.

Build and maintain relationships within the community.

Qualification:

Experience working full-time in a newsroom or equivalent journalism background.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Expertise in CP style for online reporting.

Strong on-air delivery and production skills.
