Role Overview:
The Menu Clerk is responsible for ensuring patient menus are prepared accurately for each meal, obtaining meal selections through computer systems, and providing front-line customer service to patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and ensure completion of patient menus for each meal
Enter patient meal choices for two meals daily using computer systems
Respond to phone calls related to patient feeding, catering, and department inquiries
Provide front-line service to patients and families regarding meal requests
Support departmental administrative and communication needs
Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 education
Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets is an asset
Food and nutrition knowledge is an asset
Demonstrated PC skills
Knowledge of Computrition, HBOC, and Excel is an asset
Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills
